Morningstar announces new mobile phone apps

Morningstar today announced their new Mobile application for BlackBerry Curve, Tour, and Bold phones, and iPhones that "helps you track your investments and stay on top of the markets."

That's good news because I can now get their take on stocks, mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds right on my BlackBerry without using the slow Web browser.

The free BlackBerry app lets you:
  • Sync to your Morningstar.com portfolios and watch lists
  • Create and edit Morningstar.com watch lists
  • Log in for Premium Analyst Research
  • View performance charts for stocks, funds, ETFs and indexes
  • Access the Morningstar Market BarometerSM and data on each of the Morningstar categories
  • Track the market indexes with up-to-date news articles and listings of gainers, losers, and actives
  • Obtain real-time quotes
  • Get investing ideas
  • Search for US & Canadian companies and tickers
  • View Morningstar Ratings
Download the free application and stay connected to the latest Morningstar news, articles and research wherever you go.

I haven't tried it yet, but plan on it. Will you download it? Any other good fund firm or brokerage apps worth noting? Email me your thoughts.
