Ranking the media
At the recent NICSA conference, an audience member asked CNBC anchor Tyler Mathison how he would rate the job of financial media during these challenging markets. "The financial press fails repeatedly to be skeptical enough when things go well and optimistic enough when things go badly. We try but.... I give us an average grade." He later added, "[Jim] Cramer and [Charlie] Gasparino get an A+ because they are always right. They tell me everyday."
