Sunstar Opens New York City Office, Hires Bloomberg Veteran

by Dan Sondhelm
In March 2007, we opened SunStar's permanent New York City office at 330 Madison Avenue at 42nd Street. The purpose of this office is to give SunStar a base from which to continue to grow its financial services marketing and public relations firm in the heart of the financial capital of the world.
We hired Bloomberg veteran Tony Kono to manage the NY office. Tony complements our account management team through his unique blend of media experience and financial reporting.

After just six months the office is growing and has moved into a new larger space in the same building to facilitate additional SunStar staff and client needs.
For nearly 14 years, Tony was an integral contributor to Bloomberg Radio and Television covering Wall Street as an anchor, reporter and producer.
In 2004 Tony was awarded the coveted Bloomberg Pink Flamingo award for breaking news reporting. Previously, Tony had a successful career working in feature films and is qualified as a Second Assistant Director by the Directors Guild of America.
Tony received a B.A. in English from Middlebury College in Vermont, studied English at Oxford University’s Lincoln College, and attended the New York University Graduate School of Film and Television.
He can be reached at TKono@isunstar.com.
