We are seeing a lot of interest from smaller and midsized fund firms that have recieved 2009 Lipper Leader awards to use the award as a launching pad to get the fund the attention and recognition it deserves. Surprisingly, many of the winners are quite small despite the excellent long-term performance.
These firms are considering strategies that are considered proactive distribution. For example, some are looking at public relations to generate third-party endorsed news stories in national news publications. Others are tempted to develop structured email and Webinar programs to tell their good news to financial advisors.
