This year, SunStar’s Melissa Murphy is running the New York City Marathon with Fred's Team to support cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Making the decision to compete in a marathon was a big one, and training for the race so far has been grueling. However, she knows that any challenge faced in completing this personal goal is put into perspective when she considers what people with cancer face every day. At Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, doctors and researchers are working on clinical trials that have the potential to increase the survival rates. Melissa is running in memory of those who have lost their battle with this disease as well as on behalf of those who are still fighting.We can help them do more.
