Huntington's Paula Jurcenko nominated for Fund Marketer of the Year

Good luck Paula!

Paula Jurcenko of Huntington Funds, a client of SunStar Strategic, is nominated for the coveted "Marketer of the Year" award in Institutional Investor's 17th Annual Mutual Fund Awards.

Jurcenko has overseen 40% growth in assets under management over the past decade while the market, for the most part, was moving in the opposite direction. Huntington's stable of funds has grown from only two mutual funds in 2000 to a dozen today with $3.5 billion in assets, and Jurcenko has packaged those funds into a variety of the firm's other offerings in order to emphasize asset allocation and rebalancing techniques and broaden distribution internally through Huntington's brokerage and third-party channels. Huntington's mutual fund assets under management grew from $2.8 billion at the end of 2008 to $3.5 billion at the end of 2009. Jurcenko's relationship and reputation with Huntington's internal brokers has played a big part in the mutual fund group's success.

The II awards will recognize the funds, fund leaders, marketers, trustees and independent counsel who stood out for their successes, achievements, and contributions in 2009.

Winners will be honored at the annual awards dinner and ceremony on April 15, 2010 at the Mandarin Oriental in New York City.
